St Stephens Rd / St Phillips Rd/ St Pauls Rd Groups of Youths are regularly congregating in this area causing the local residents to be disturbed by their noise caused when the groups congregate on street corners. Youths also cause a nuisance to traffic and residents when playing football on street. Residents are also reporting incidents of possible drug dealing activity in the area

Jutland Street Carpark Fly tipping and general litter : The car park on Jutland Street has become increasingly untidy over the past few months, there has been people dumping fridge freezers and microwaves on the car park. Youths have started congregating there and this has resulted in broken glass and general litter being left all over the car park.

Residents are also reporting incidents of possible drug dealing activity in the area The area continues to be quiet, however, more complaints have been received in the wider areas of The Saints. As a result, one male has been placed on an Acceptable Behaviour Contract and a problematic tenant at an address has been issued with a notice to quit by the Landlord following working with the Local Policing Team and an ASB Closure Order is being sought on an address within the area.

The PCSO’s continue to monitor the car park with a view to solving the long term issues with the Council and Pr1me Focus.

Cromwell Rd : Parking Issues Concerns have again been raised by residents about the parking on Cromwell Street, the residents say that people are coming early morning to park their cars and go into work in the city centre leaving what few parking spaces there are occupied. This is causing issue's for the residents and any visitors to them as there is nowhere for them to park. This problem presents a challenge to all involved. Obviously unless anyone is parking illegally there is very little enforcement action to take. The council have been informed and we await any suggestions from them as to how to combat the issues and support the residents.

Residents are also reporting incidents of possible drug dealing activity in the area The area has been quiet of late, however, it has been noticed that there has been areas of displacement where the youths and associated problems have moved to. In these areas the NPT has commenced taking community impact statement s for one particular address with a view to an Anti social behaviour closure order and several individuals have been identified and placed on Acceptable behaviour contracts with a view to obtaining ASBO’s should their behaviour continue. We have also been in contact with several landlords of problematic ASB addresses and as a result of partnership work are now finalising eviction proceedings against two individuals from their address.

August

St Stephens Rd / St Phillips Rd/ St Pauls Rd Groups of Youths are regularly congregating in this area causing the local residents to be disturbed by their noise caused when the groups congregate on street corners. Youths also cause a nuisance to traffic and residents when playing football on street.

Following a successful drugs warrant at Beerbusters on St Pauls Road, the shop has been closed and is ceasing to operate and following a hearing in July the shops alcohol license has been revoked. This has had a dramatic effect on the area with residents reporting a dramatic downturn in groups gathering. The project which Police and Partners are working with for the area is still ongoing and discussions are ongoing in regards to area improvements including a CCTV system.

Hopwood St flats: One of the residents at the Hopwood St flats are having parties every Friday, Saturday and Sunday night. Other residents are becoming concerned and disturbed with these parties, as they are continually causing a nuisance by being rowdy, urinating everywhere, dealing drugs and fighting with knifes. There also seems to be an issue with people that aren't residents at the flat sleeping in the corridors Community Gateway Housing Association Officers are working closely with Neighbourhood Officers in order to resolve the issue.

Parking Issues Concerns have again been raised about Customers of Piri Piri Restaurant/ Takeaway parking illegally on double yellow lines on East View, causing obstructions on the footpath with vehicles and also parking in Residents only bays. Councillors and Traffic Management Officers have met in the affected area  with the possibility of bollards on East View being discussed and a review of the Residents parking scheme.
