AREA ACTIONS for November

 

Holme Slack : Rowdy, anti-social behaviour on the Holme Slack estate including groups gathering at the entrance to a ginnel on Lilac Grove, Home Slack Lane and Streets around Rose Lane.

 

Basil St : Anti-social behaviour by some youths in the area. There are also concerns over litter dropping and general youth gatherings towards the cul-de sac end

 

Canaries Area : Groups gathering in the alleyways in the evenings. Damage has been caused to rear gates in the area. There are also concerns of rowdy behaviour and noise disturbance into the night within the rear alleyways, the benches area on Castleton Road and the Castleton Road play area

Lilac Grove : Rowdy and abusive youths are gathering outside an address on Lilac Grove, sitting on the garden fence and using intimidating behaviour. The youths sit on resident's cars, throw bottles into gardens, and there is some evidence of drug taking. Investigations into the possible closure of the alleyway are on going with Gateway involvement. High visibility patrols continued in the area with several youths spoken to. This action appears to be having a positive effect on the problem

High visibility patrols conducted in the area during the day and evening by your neighbourhood Policing team and during the night by response patrols.  An antisocial behavior contract has been taken out in relation to this issue.

This has been completed by the neighbourhood policing team and also response officers

The youths sit on resident's cars, throw bottles into gardens, and there is some evidence of drug taking. Investigations into the possible closure of the alleyway are on going with Gateway involvement. High visibility is continuing in the area with several youths spoken to. This action is having a positive effect on the problem, youth referrals have been issued. Informant reports issues have improved however this will be kept a priority to ensure positive action following a recent assault

Basil St : Noisy youths, shouting and swearing walking up and down the street at all hours.  High visibility patrols conducted in the area during the day with help from response patrols at night. A joint visit with Gateway and the neighbourhood policing team was conducted on a resident regarding his behaviour and noise in the early hours of the morning

 

Holme Slack : Groups of youths are riding uninsured mini moto vehicles both on the road and on the grassland behind Sainsburys.  High visibility patrols conducted in the area. One rider of a quad type bike has been reported for summons for driving offences. A youth referral has been issued to a male for giving others lifts on his scooter style bike

High Vis patrols conducted in the area several groups moved on. Community Gateway are investigating closure of the ginnel. Informant reports issues have improved however this will be kept a priority to ensure positive action

 

Basil St/ Harewood Rd/ Skeffington Rd : Vehicles speeding down Basil street, Harewood Road, Skeffington Road and Lowthorpe Road Vehicles speeding down Basil street, Harewood Road, Skeffington Road and Lowthorpe Road. Road policing unit have conducted traffic enforcement in the area resulting in people being prosecuted. Deepdale is to become a 20mph zone which will be enforced by police

 

Dove Street ginnel : Information received that gangs of youths are gathering in the ginnel at the back of Dove street, residents report there is possibly drug use taking place. Several groups moved on. No further calls
