Area actions for November
Bike Coding: More advertising of the bike coding initiative that the NPT (Neighbourhood Policing Team) can do free of charge to residents In light of the fact that this is still an ongoing problem then we are keeping this as a priority for another month. Especially due to the time of year near to Christmas.
SPID (Speed Indicator Device): Further update in relation to the use of the Constabulary's SPID and when / where it will be deployed. Still awaiting update as to when residents can be trained to operate the SPID. Residents keen to keep it as an priority
Lighting: Lighting around the Dock control tower / Maritime Way not working – enquiries to be made to get the lights repaired. Residents would like to know ultimately what is the plan for on going repairs around the Dock basin. In vue that the lights are so expensive to fix what is the councils alternative

Bike Coding: More advertising of the bike coding initiative that the NPT (Neighbourhood Policing Team) can do free of charge to residents The bike coding has been advertised through the Neighbourhood Watch Schemes with details on how to contact PCSO 7706 Noble should anyone wish to use the scheme. SPID (Speed Indicator Device): Further update in relation to the use of the Constabulary’s SPID and when / where it will be deployed The SPID has been located at Lea Police Station and will be booked through the station . Lighting: Lighting around the Dock control tower / Maritime Way not working – enquiries to be made to get the lights repaired. The lighting has been checked by PCSO 7706 and has already been fixed

Theft of pedal cycles : Due to the continued high number of thefts of pedal cycles in the Riversway area - to continue with the awareness campaign. Pedal Cycle campaign continued – post coding of cycles completed at owners request. Only one reported theft of cycle from outside Carrefours Gymnasium
Mini moto Nuisance : To provide targeted patrols of the River Walk and paths near to TRAX. Targeted patrols in the area have been conducted. There has been only one complaint this month in relation to mini moto’s.
Speeding Issues : To follow up funding request for a SPID and also training for volunteers. List of volunteers passed to HQ so that a training date can be arranged. The Area Forum committee has rejected the funding bid for the SPID.

1. Due to the continued high number of thefts of pedal cycles in the Riversway area - to continue with the awareness campaign.Letter drop completed in the area to all residents warning of the thefts of pedal cycles in the area.. Bike coding surgery conducted at Halfords..
2. Repeat damage to fence at Victoria Quay - To make further enquiries with the Broadgate Residents Association Group to see if their CCTV camera is now available to install at Victoria Quay to capture who is responsible for the damage to the fence. Still waiting for an update from local councillors as to when a camera will be available
3. Raise awareness to prevent the thefts of purses and other personal property from handbags/shopping bags. To help combat purse thefts in the retail areas of the Docks anti dipping devices were handed out mainly to the elderly over several days.
