Residents gave very positive feedback regarding fireworks and stated that there has been very few firework problems in comparison to previous years

Work is continuing regarding signs at either end of Burholme Road and looking into making Burholme Road a one way system One Voice have spoken to Preston City Council who have made assurances that they will be putting more bollards into Burholme road as well as extra road signs

August

Anti social behaviour around Hodder Brook and the surrounding area.: Anti social behaviour by adults and youths in the area usually fuelled by alcohol. Patrols have been increased around this area. There has been a dramatic decrease in calls from the area regarding this issue

Various empty properties around Moor Nook estate : Several empty properties some privately owned being vandalised by local youths over the past few weeks.  Looking for council to intervene and ‘tin’ up and then send bill to private owners.  One of the named properties has now been occupied, the second has been put up for sale and the third is now under renovation

Vehicle Crime around the estate : As vehicle crime had increased from last year this has been made a priority Vehicle crime has reduced dramatically this month. Residents raised no issues concerning vehicle crime and are happy with the current progress

July

Spike of crimes Miller Road shops : Shop owners and tenants are concerned about level of crime in their area which seems to be escalating and they are feeling vulnerable. Would like to see increased officer presence especially between 01:00 and 06:00 hours. Also looking at lightining and fencing as crime prevention along with anti-vandal paint and signs. In the last month there have been no reported crimes around this area. The council are now looking into placing spike strips around the vicinity and using anti-vandal paints, however there will be no fencing or extra lighting around this area due to added costs

Motorbike nuisance Whitmore Drive area :      Increased motorcycle problems of speeding and riding around with no helmets with young children on the back between hours of 17:00 and 22:00 hours.

Residents from Whitmore Drive state that the problem has reduced greatly in the last month.  Traffic patrols are continuing to pay any down time in the area. Two bikes have now been seized.

Various empty properties around Moor Nook estate : Several empty properties some privately owned being vandalised by local youths over past few weeks.  Looking for council to intervene and ‘tin’ up and then send bill to private  owners.Work has now started on two of the empty properties and one other empty property has now been sold subject to contract. This should have a positive impact on anti social behaviour around this address.

June

Traffic Issues: The bollards on burholme road are not stopping vehicles as people are using the pavement to drive round them. Road users are also ignoring the one way system and driving the wrong way down the roads instead of driving round the circuit  .  As published within the LEP the bollards are being looked at by Gateway and new fencing at all end properties will be erected in due course

Dog Nuisance: Many youths on the estate now have dogs which they let roam around off their leads and use to intimidate other residents on the estate. People also just let their dogs loose and unsupervised in the mornings to go to toilet The Dog Warden has done early morning swoops on the estate but the matter will be monitored further.  High visibility foot patrol by the local neighbourhood policing team has not identified any offenders of using dangerous dogs to intimidate people.

Pope Lane Shops: Complaints from residents that both youths and adult males are congregating outside the shops on pope lane and intimidating other shop users. Who have started to avoid using the shops for this very reason.  High visibility presence from local police officers at various times of the day seems to have improved local residents confidence in the area of the shops.  There does not appear to be the  same congregation of youths.
