April

1. Sharoe Green has seen a big rise in youth nuisance over recent months, a number of policing tactics have been used and it is felt that a Dispersal Order would discourage groups of 50-70 congregating as has recently been seen. Groups have at times been rather hostile towards police and residents  The Dispersal Order has been progressed in that consultation has taken place with local councillor’s and youth services, the paperwork is ready but at the moment we have seen a marked decrease in numbers of youths in the area due to zero tolerance policing tactics. It has been agreed that we will continue with this approach and use the Dispersal Order as a last resort.

2. Same issues of low level youth nuisance and football issues in both areas. Re The Pennines NACRO need to be chased re community conf and Re Briar Bank Row, place for people need to be engaged through MATAC
Residents have met with Scott Walsh from the Restorative Justice centre and the Community Conference is to take place in the first week of June.

John Roberts from Places for People has engaged with officers and issues reported to us concerning Briar Bank Row have been passed on.
.

3. Streetwise soccer has been requested by residents in the Sherwood area for the summer hols. PCSO Doughty to liase with Steve Daly to progress this.
We have been successful in our bid for Streetwise Soccer and this shall take place two nights a week for the duration of the summer holidays at St Clare’s Primary, Sharoe Green Lane.  More information to follow re days and times.

March

1. The Pennines: Further leaflet drop in the area and two families spoken to at length. Community Conf observed at NACRO and agreed with Scott Walsh that he would take issue on and arrange community conf on behalf of the residents.

2. Deborah Ave: The aggrieved party has been visited several times and kept up to date with what is happening in the area, this issue is not just localised to this area but the whole ward. Extra patrols have been sourced during easter and a number of different policing tactics used to discourage youths form travelling into this area.

3. Newlands Nursery: More work is needed on this issue and will look at the possibility of drafting in RPU to support as no PC working on the area currently.
