Dog fouling in Derby Square and Maitland Street - action to be taken where the dog-fouling signs have been removed.
Parking in Derby Square concerning vehicles double-parked, thus reducing access for emergency vehicles, especially the fire service, particularly at the start and finishing times of the local school.
Wheelie Bins – obstructing the pavement in Derby Square and causing many environmental problems including disgusting smells and fire risk. PC Tunstall said that on Wednesday Sergeant Halliwell would be having a “ walkabout” and she would be made aware of the problem. February
Longworth Street – Actions in respect of traffic problems are ongoing. A number of untaxed vehicles have been removed and the Road Policing Unit have issued a number of fixed penalty tickets for one-way street offences. Local businesses have been approached regarding speeding vehicles and this seems to have had some effect.
Frome Street - Youth nuisance. One youth has been issued with an Acceptable Behaviour Contract (ABC). Both PC Tunstall and PCSO Copeland have been maintaining enhanced high visibility patrolling in the area, and action is being instigated with a view to evicting persons causing a problem.
Raikes Road – Any issues have been dealt with by the CBM who now covers that area. January
