Priorities for this month have been identified as juvenile nuisance issues all over the 2 wards and in particular, the bridge between Janice Drive and Lansdown Hill, Mill Lane Park, Conway Park on Conway Drive and all the schools on the area.
In addition, the P.A.C.T. panel has asked if a representative from the ‘reassure’ project that took place in the Ingol area could come and address the group with a view to examining methods used to sort out the quality of life issues in the Ingol area, to see if ideas would work on Cadley and Greyfriars. To this end I will be speaking to Jackie Fulham who is the Police Support Officer. Hopefully she will be available to attend the meeting.
June.

SPECIAL EVENT (MORE)
3RD DECEMBER 2005
TASTER DAY AT FULWOOD LEISURE CENTRE 1PM – 4 PM
ORGANISED BY PCSO HIGGINS/VOLUNTEER LIZ HOLDEN/PC SHRAGER IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE CENTRE.
The taster day at the leisure centre has now been done and feedback received from the kids who attended suggests that it was a success. We are currently debating our next project with the kids and ideas so far are another taster day/ten pin bowling/and a competition to be organised to repaint the large bike shed area at Fulwood High School which at the moment is a target for much graffiti. Let us know your opinion!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Neil is also thinking of a sponsored car wash to raise a bit of funding!
We now have a separate kid liason group up and running for volunteers to help organise these events and anyone wishing to join can do so by letting me know.

Apply for funding for the grassed area of Greyfriars Crescent to be redeveloped in a ‘ball games preventative’ manner. Quiz night is being organised by George and is looking like being on the 24th January at Fulwood Leisure Centre bar. To be confirmed. Fulwood Leisure Centre juvenile issues.
2 x funding bids to go in for kid projects. £500.00 for TRAX project for kids from Fulwood High School and a £3500.00 for a years project at Fulwood Leisure Centre.
Traffic speeding issues on Black Bull Lane near Fulwood High School, Cadley Causeway, Lightfoot Lane and Lytham Road. Especially night time was believed to be an issue. Also Eastway between Preston Grasshoppers and the Broughton Roundabout ( Near to where the road emerges from Lightfoot Lane ). A request has also been made for traffic enforcement in the evening time, as this was felt to be the main time for offences.
Walled area at Janice Drive, Mrs Mossop to be contacted at the council re: change to landscape.
Bank account to be opened by Treasurer, Mr Driver.
Clean-up-day scheduled for 25th March 2006. Checks to be made re ownership of land with land registry for injury liability. This will clear the land of litter in front of the Fulwood High School and Leisure Centre.

The next taster day at Fulwood Leisure Centre has now been arranged and will take place from 09:00 on 22nd April 2006 until 16:00. This time there are more activities including basketball, urban cycling and dance.
If you want to get involved then speak to Neil, myself or Lisa Coe at the Leisure centre.
As usual it will only cost the kids a token £1.00 to take part in ALL the activities.
