Area actions for November & October

 

Broughton, Barton, Woodplumpton and Catforth : Utilise the Speed indicator devices throughout Broughton, Barton, Woodplumpton and Catforth the combat the speeding issue

 

Whittingham Lane, Woodplumpton Lane : Look in to advising cyclists without lights using rural roads

 

Tabley Lane : Look in to making the Tabley Lane and Nog Tow area ‘ Quiet Lane ' to help combat traffic issues that have arisen with large lorries using the route

 

 

 September August July

 

Station Lane, St George's Playing Field: Group of young people congregating in the area causing nuisance to local residents, leaving litter and causing some damage to property.

 

Woodplumpton Lane, Broughton, Garstang Road, Broughton : Problem with speeding motorists along Woodplumpton Late from 10pm onwards. Complaints from residents regarding motorcyclists speeding throughout Broughton village particularly Sunday mornings.

 

Woodplumpton Lane, Broughton, Whittingham Lane, Broughton : Look in to making the areas of Whittingham Lane and Woodplumpton Lane , Broughton in to a no cold calling area.

 

June

 

Broughton & Barton: To distribute warning to residents regarding the increase in theft of stone flags with the village. Crime prevention advice has been given out through the policing newsletter.

 

 

2 Vehicles parking on Garstang Road causing obstructions to residents trying to exit their properties.The owners of the vehicles have been advised however. There are no issues at present

 

3 Problems of motorist speeding along the stretch between Broughton and Barton. Also speeding along Station Lane especially past the Primary School Road Policing unit have been targeting speeding motorists within the area. There is an operation on going throughout the month of June which will concentrate on the A6 at Garstang Road Broughton and Barton. A number of meeting with Lancashire County Council Highways are to follow during the next month with the aim to reduce the speed through Broughton Village.
